Make sure that if you are doing any projects that may need approval make sure they are approved well ahead of time and before you start your project. If in doubt, please contact us for advice.

When will it happen?
(Generalized dates)

1) A Contact Teacher who will organize the QRSTF participation within the school, and communicate with QRSTF, is identified. The Contact Teacher registration is done on-line, which establishes the email link between the QRSTF and the School. All communication, registration, etc., will be done electronically, through interaction with the Contact Teacher. The Contact Teacher needs to be a regular, reliable user of email. Schools need to identify a QRSTF contact teacher.

September - January
2) Schools place orders for display boards. (The QRSTF bulk purchase results in a low price.) October - February
3) Places at the Loyalist College are calculated for each school. The population of eligible QRSTF participants at a school is divided by the total eligible students in the region. The product is multiplied by 200 (the total number of displays at the fair). January
4) The on-line project registration pages are opened. The calculated number of registrations is assigned to each school. This initial number will probably increase. (see (5) below) November-January
5) Schools are asked if they will be using all of their assigned spaces. Unused spaces will be reassigned to other schools, according to the formula in 3). Jan. 29,2011
6) The registration pages are locked. Parental consent forms are available at the registration page site. Parental consent forms must go home, be signed, be returned to school, and sent to the QRSTF at the Board office. Students will not be assigned Loyalist College space unless the form is received March 4,2011
7) Cutoff date for Parental Consent forms.
March 11,2011
8) Projects are sorted according to grade and strand. Sequential floor numbers are assigned to all projects. Projects are grouped for judging. Judges are assigned to each group. Judging sheets, identity labels, floor tags and maps are printed.
